Tricia Wiseman. Mother of 10 5 boys and 5 girls. Grandmother to three I have lived in Shelby County my entire life. I became a registered nurse in 2002. In 2014 I followed my dreams of working with children full-time and started watching children in my home. Shortly after starting to watch a few children I completed the process to become an in home childcare provider. I had an opportunity to purchase a building separate from my home and only a short walk from my home. That building eventually became “Honeybee Learning Tree”. I have completed many training programs along the way including CDA completion and Trauma Smart.

Philosophy

We provide a hands-on interaction with the children. The childcare staff provides different learning opprotunities by supplying different activities based on the childs interests.
We allow them an environment promotes learning by exploring and discovering through play. Although we have many open-ended play opprotunities, we follow a few structured activities during the day as well. We find it important to keep some structure within the day to help build a foundation for success.

Tricia Wiseman

Executive Director/Owner

Hello!! Welcome to Honeybee Learning Tree. My name is Tricia Wiseman. I am a lifelong resident of Shelby County. I am the mother of 5 boys and 5 girls. Bailee, Demetri, Braidee, Brycen, Marcus, Cameron, Silas, Asia, Maddie and Byron. Yes, thats 10 total! I am also now the grandmother of three amazing little ones. I am a 1996 graduate of South Shelby Highschool and a 2002 graduate of John Wood Community College. I became a registered nurse in 2002 and in 2014 I followed my dreams of working with children full-time and started Honeybee Learning Tree. Children are my life. In high school they did those horrible where will you be in 10 years stories. The class had decided I would own a daycare. I still remember the name they gave that daycare. It traumatized me. I wanted to be something big like a child psychologist or physician. Look at me now. I can tell you, being a childcare provider is the hardest yet most rewarding career I have ever had. I may be mom to 10 and grandma to 3, but I can happily say I am also Mrs. Tricia to SO many little ones. One of the hardest parts of my job is having to send children off to kindergarten year after year. Thank you for coming to our page and learning about us. If you have any question please feel free to call or message me.
